Superdog Sniffing
Imprinting Action
One of the hardest parts of the dog’s training is imprinting:  Teaching the dog what the scent is and for him to remember it. A simple explanation of one method used, is that we teach a dog to look for a ball.  Then we teach the dog to find the scent used for imprinting, while the ball is present. The dog is then rewarded with the ball.

Superdog Rhino Horn Detection
Illegal poaching in Africa is at an all-time high, with elephant and rhinoceros the most popular targets for well-funded, well-trained, and well-equipped poachers motivated by a lucrative illegal wildlife trade.

Our trained dogs and their handlers boast a 90% accuracy in detecting rhino horn or elephant ivory hidden in luggage and shipments at airports and ports of entry. Dogs can sniff out Illegal Rhino Horn, Abalone, Ivory, Crayfish and Lion Bones.

Sniffer Dogs work very hard to scan the air for those tell-tale scents that they are trained to locate, even when the criminal is trying to hide them inside another strong scent such as coffee.

When our highly trained K9s go to work, their game plan is quite simple:  ‘Find that certain odour – and I get my ball or toy or reward!’ How simple is that? They love to play and the quicker they find ‘that’ smell the quicker they can play!
And with that ‘game plan’, it is simply ‘game over’ for the criminals trying to move illegal drugs, or wildlife contraband like rhino horn.
